IKEA just made one of the most normal food court items on Earth look completely unhinged. The company is now selling a half-meter hot dog that is about 50 centimeters long, or just under 20 inches. Right now, it is available at IKEA bistro locations across the United Arab Emirates, priced at Dhs 19, which comes out to about $5.17 USD.
IKEA Already Sold Hot Dogs
@justfooddxb When we saw that IKEA do a half meter long Glizzy we had to give it a try 😂 It’s listed as 19 AED but they do charge 2 AED for every extra topping but it is absolutely GIGANTIC 🌭🌭🌭 Could you finish it? #dubaifood #dubaieats #dubaifoodie #ikeafood #ikea ♬ original sound - Alex Augusti
Hot dogs are already part of IKEA, alongside meatballs and pizza. People grab them before heading to the parking lot. This version keeps the same base product but arrives in a size that is excessive for a furniture store’s food court.
The rollout used the line “More to love, more to enjoy,” which makes sense once you see it in person. At a little over $5, this item costs well below many oversized foods sold at stadiums or theme parks, where similar large formats often run $10 to $20, depending on the venue.
That price point is why people keep putting it next to other famous budget hot dogs in conversations.
Right Now, It Is A UAE-Only Menu Item

If someone wants to try it today, they would need to be in the United Arab Emirates. There is no confirmed expansion anywhere else yet. The hot dog is also promoted as a limited-time menu item.
Short-run menu items are common for unusual releases, especially when companies want to measure customer reaction to a new format.
